Welcome.

Welcome everyone to my newest project. This blog is meant to serve as a means to freely express atheist ideas. Some people agree with atheist ideals while others reject them. It doesn't matter which category you, as the reader, fall into. I respect all religions and beliefs, but in return I ask for your respect. Please, feel free to comment for or against the posts I make.

Here's a little background on my journey towards atheism:

For most of my childhood, I was a Christian. In fact I was a member of a Presbyterian church. I believed everything that the church told me without question. To be honest I look back at it in shame. I was confirmed to the church during my freshman year of high school. Ironically, a Christian was the one who opened my eyes to other options. It was my high school philosophy teacher. Once I start studying other ways of thinking and other beliefs, I found it easier to question my own. It wasn't an instant change.

I read literature looking at many views on God and on the existence of God in different philosophies and religions, but especially in Christianity (for obvious reasons). I slowly realized that none of the philosophies or religions added up to God's existence. Stories conflicted, ideas like predestination couldn't be backed up, and above all there's little or no support for God's existence.

That's pretty much it the general gist of it.
